Our Story

Have you ever met someone and had that immediate reaction of ‘friend’? This was the case for the co-founders of Bless Your Face, Erin Northcott and Jody Sillence; who met at work and remained friends even as their career paths changed.

Erin and Jody formed Bless Your Face in early 2008. The company grew from a shared interest in organic and natural ways of nurturing the skin – and to address their own personal skin care concerns.

From Jody: “While writing Prayerful Awakening, blemishes began appearing that wouldn’t go away. I realized this was part of cleansing the emotional toxins I was carrying inside my heart – an important part of my healing journey. But this was not the way I wanted to face the world.”

After individually trying many products with little to no results, and thinking there must be a better way to healthy, glowing skin than using chemically enhanced products – they decided to create their own.

Erin explains, “Once upon a time, ingredients used came from the kitchen, plants and flowers from the garden or growing wild. I liked the idea of using natural ingredients that would actually work.”

Working together in Erin’s kitchen with natural and organic ingredients, they created formulations to maintain overall skin health, to clear blemishes and keep them from coming back. In Jody’s words, “…we became alchemists, piecing together products with love and laughter.”

Erin and Jody tested all products on themselves initially, then family and friends. Once the samples ran out, everyone came back for more. Word spread quickly, even more people started asking for the products – Erin and Jody were busy attempting to keep up with the demand.

Eventually production was moved out of the kitchen and into an organic-only facility. The location may have changed but the same care and attention to detail is still in every product. Products are not mass produced and only premium quality ingredients used. Erin and Jody still play alchemist – and there is still much love and laughter in every product.
